wtfox?!

I post on pretty much about anything: Feminism, social justice, X-Men: First Boyfriends, political activism, people I find physically and intellectually attractive, Dr. Who, food, popular culture and media matters, MST3K, old literature, Downton Abbey, gifs, and the occasional whiny, pointless status update.

I use the word "fuck" a lot.

This is my dad and Tucker, the family dog, from Thanksgiving last year. I wish I had an older picture scanned, because my dad, like a lot of dads who became dads in the 70s, was so hipster today’s hipsters would swoon in envy.
My dad is pretty great. He’s really one of the best feminists I’ve ever met. He loves puns. (One doesn’t have anything to do with the other.) He has a compulsive book-buying habit. When I was younger, he worked full-time and went to school part-time to get his Master’s in cognitive therapy; I remember some days when my mom worked he’d take me and my sisters to the university library and we would hang out and stare at the college kids while he met with his adviser. He always told us to do what we loved, because he was fortunate enough to be doing it (he’s a therapist who works with brain injury and trauma), and he stood by that when I announced I wanted to take a year off and transfer to a school up north.
So yeah. My dad is pretty great.
